Quo Vadis, Polar Bear?

We were visiting Munich's zoo last weekend. It was the first time that I really enjoyed the visit, maybe because we saw many things we didn't really see before, maybe because A. was having so much fun with her friend or maybe because I was able to take some pictures I really like. Most likely all of it together made it a great event.

One of the highlights were the polar bears. I always have ambivalent feelings when going to the zoo, but seeing these amazing creatures in reality, makes you think again about global warming and the way we treat our planet. The one you can see in this picture was not really active and I think it's already old. The bear stood there and was looking in my direction through the glass wall and it seemed like it was asking me to take its picture.
